This individual, who was buried with a pot ceremonially placed directly over his or her face, wears shell and marble bangles, a beaded shell headdress, and a necklace. Bivalve shells, here placed at the skeleton's wrists and right shoulder, are found in virtually all Khorat Plateau graves and may represent fertility or rebirth.
