The Grolier Codex is a calendar describing the movements of the planet Venus. It was first revealed in 1965, to private collector Dr. Jose Saenz at an isolated Mexican airstrip. In Breaking the Maya Code, Michael Coe says it is drawn and painted in “a hybrid Maya-Toltec style.” It has been radiocarbon dated to about 1230 AD.
